Mexican street food is built for events. Most of the menu is assembled rather than cooked to order, so service is quick at peak, and everything eats one-handed while standing, which suits a festival crowd. Mexican catering, taco van, burrito bar and Mexican food truck all describe the same kind of unit.

What the menu can include

Depending on the unit, menus can include tacos, burritos, nachos, quesadillas and loaded dishes such as loaded fries or rice bowls. Not every unit serves all of these, and a Tex-Mex unit and a more traditional Mexican unit will read differently. Customisable fillings mean vegetarian, vegan and meat options usually come off the same line. The exact menu can be confirmed as part of your proposal.

Planning your hire

An assembly-line unit is fast at peak, which makes it a good partner for a slower cooked-to-order unit such as pizza. Portions can be substantial, which is worth knowing when planning alongside other units. What the unit needs from the site depends on the individual unit and is confirmed with your proposal.
