The Sizzler, also known as the Twister or the Twist, is a fast platform ride built around rotation. Riders sit in cars mounted on groups of sweeps, or arms, which rotate around the centre of the ride while the whole assembly turns as well. The two rotations combine to whip the cars through rapid changes of direction, and that changing pull is what makes the ride feel far quicker than it looks from the queue.

What to expect

This is a ride for people who want to be thrown about a bit. It suits teenagers and adults and works well next to dodgems and a Waltzer, where it adds pace to the line-up without needing the height of a big wheel. Lighting and music vary between machines, and a well-presented Sizzler is a strong evening attraction.

Planning your hire

A Sizzler is a mid-to-large ride that arrives on its own vehicle and needs a level area to be built on, with enough room around it to be assembled safely. Access into the site is the first thing to confirm, and we can arrange a site visit if the route looks tight. The footprint and rider requirements depend on the particular ride supplied and are confirmed with your proposal.
