Family Roller Coaster / Runaway Train Hire
A real tracked roller coaster scaled for families. Often themed as a runaway train or a mine train, and a step up from the children's rides.

Listed under Funfair Rides and Children's Rides.
A family roller coaster is a transportable tracked coaster built for children and families. Trains run on a proper track with climbs, dips and banked turns, so it is a genuine roller coaster experience, pitched at a level that a child can ride with a parent rather than at the extremes of a theme park coaster. Runaway train and mine train theming is common, with the train styled as a locomotive and cars, and children's roller coaster and mine train roller coaster are the same thing under other names.
What to expect
For many children this is their first roller coaster, and for many parents it is the ride they can share with them. It is fast enough to feel exciting and gentle enough to be repeatable. Track layouts, the number of trains, the theming and the size of the ride vary a great deal between machines, so we will be specific about the coaster proposed for your event rather than describing a typical one.
Planning your hire
Because the track is laid out on site, the coaster needs a level area of the right shape as well as the right size, and vehicle access to reach it. Set-up takes time and should be planned into your schedule. Capacity and rider restrictions are set for the individual ride and confirmed in your proposal. It appears under both Funfair Rides and Children's Rides because it sits between the two.
