A ghost train is a dark ride. Passenger cars travel on a track through an enclosed attraction, past scenes built from lighting, sound, movement and surprise. Haunted ride and fairground ghost train are the same thing. It is one of the oldest ideas on the fairground, and the appeal is simple: people know what they are queuing for and not quite what is inside.
What to expect
Ghost trains vary enormously. Some are single-level rides with a short track and a few well-timed shocks, aimed at families; others run on more than one level with elaborate scenes and a much higher scare factor. The theming, the effects, the length of the ride and how frightening it is all depend on the individual ghost train, so we will describe the one proposed for your event rather than promising a particular number of floors or a particular set of monsters.
Planning your hire
A ghost train is an enclosed structure that arrives on its own transport and needs level ground and vehicle access to reach its pitch. Because it is a building as much as a ride, room to assemble it matters. Age guidance depends on the individual attraction and is confirmed with your proposal. For a Halloween event or an evening fair it is a natural first choice.
