The tea cups, also called cups and saucers or the tea cup ride, is a circular family ride with large cup-shaped cars. The main platform turns, and depending on the individual machine the cups can also rotate as they travel round, usually with a wheel in the middle that lets the riders spin their own cup as fast or as slowly as they like.
What to expect
This is a ride that can suit a whole family at once. Small children ride with a parent, older children compete to spin their cup the fastest, and the whole thing is over in a few minutes and ready to go again. The painted cups and the lighting give it a traditional look that sits well with gallopers and swing boats, which is why it is also listed under Traditional & Vintage Rides.
Planning your hire
The tea cups need a level pitch and vehicle access, and the space required depends on the machine supplied. Not every tea cup ride works in exactly the same way: some spin the cups automatically, some leave it to the riders, and some do not spin the cups at all. We will be clear about the ride proposed, and rider guidance is confirmed with your proposal.
